As Vogue editors, we often wax poetic on the latest runway must-haves and home decor treasures, but not every item we gush about on this website ultimately ends up in our closets and homes. Our discoveries are nice to behold—they’re lovely to look at and inspire fun conversation—however, of all these cool things to buy, what did we actually end up purchasing? Each month we’ll highlight those special finds our editors welcomed into their lives—all the things that made us buyers rejoice.
Now that summer is officially here, Vogue editors are in full warm-weather mode, anchoring our wardrobes with easy, breezy slip dresses, crochet knit sets, and flower and seashell adorned jewels. And just like our closets, our beauty routines are also getting a seasonal upgrade with glow-inducing skincare essentials to help our skin stay illuminated (not sweaty) during sweltering summer days ahead.
Of course, our shopping escapades aren’t always selfish endeavors. With the influx of birthday parties and weddings on the calendars, we’re also discovering some amazing buys for our friends and loved ones. One editor is prepared for all of the upcoming weddings, thanks to one reliable gift fit for any and every couple. Discover her go-to wedding gift, plus more cool things to buy, according to Vogue editors, below.

Net-a-Porter’s sale has literally been shopping heaven for me, especially when I discovered these gorgeous Christopher John Rogers dresses at 50% off. I was lucky enough to grab the very last rainbow knit dress in my size, but there are other gorgeous styles still available—like these two beauties.

I’m a big fan of a lace-trim slip. Most of my favorites are vintage, but every now and again, a new style catches my eye, like this ivory floor-sweeper by SIR. For me, the peekaboo cutout sealed the deal, revealing just the right amount of skin at just the right point on my torso.

I’m not normally a sneakerhead, but Wales Bonner’s collaboration with adidas is too good to resist. I recently added this stylish pair to my wardrobe, and I can’t wait to sport them all summer long.

Re-upping on my tried and true CeraVe face moisturizer hasn’t been easy ever since it went viral on TikTok, but if trolling NYC’s drugstores is the cost of one of my favorite skincare products getting the attention it deserves, well…so be it. I’m like a proud mom cheering after her kid scored a goal. It doesn’t clog pores! It leaves skin hydrated without feeling greasy! Layers nicely under makeup! Ugh. I’m so proud of my baby. But a word to the wise: Buy the PM version, and layer your own SPF on top, like this one from Supergoop. The texture of the AM Cerave just doesn’t quite hit the same. To each her own, though!

I haven’t stopped wearing these red Repetto heels since I bought them in June. Ballet flats are definitely my go-to summer shoe.

The arrival of June is always a reminder to refresh my summer wardrobe. In an impromptu Soho shopping trip, I picked up these cream cowgirl boots by Steve Madden. They’re my summer boot of the moment, and have garnered me a surprisingly large amount of compliments. Next, I bought this satin finish dress at Zara—my ultimate midi LBD. It’s such a versatile piece to throw on casually or dress up. I love to hide the tiny spaghetti straps for a strapless moment too.

I love shells, so it was hard to resist this little summer necklace for $9. I also bought a book to read during my upcoming vacation.

This set checks every box for me when it comes to easy summer style. Plus, bonus points that I can easily swap in my favorite pair of jeans to dress the top down.

I’ve finally found what I’m deciding is the perfect white shirt. It feels classic with its crisp cotton fabrication and sharp-pointed collar, but the voluminous sleeves add a bit of interest. Lastly, as I’m a high-waist person (shirts, pants, shorts), this top pairs perfectly with it all. No more tucking in my shirt to my midi-skirt to get that Carolina Herrera look. This shirt is cut at just the right spot, and you can cinch it in with the waist tie. Do yourself a favor and add this top to your wardrobe.

I couldn’t help it, I caved! I was not expecting to be into the Coastal Grandma trend, but the more I saw it (hello, Anne Hathaway), the more I was into it. These cream Everlane shorts were the first to get me into the spirit this summer. They’re breezy, lightweight, and have the most flattering high-waist cut. I can’t wait to throw on my favorite button-ups with them all season long.
My latest beauty purchase is such a game-changer to my routine, I can’t stop talking about it. Dermalogica’s powder-to-paste exfoliant is a dream come true when it comes to brightening, smoothing, and clearing up my skin.

I remember being a little girl in the 2000s and trying on my older cousin’s Steve Madden black slinky platforms any chance I got. Needless to say, I desperately wanted my own pair when I was growing up. Steve Madden granted my Y2K wish with the re-release of the Slinky30. These shoes are surprisingly comfortable while still giving height. I cannot and will not stop wearing these all summer long!

Not your average candle! With engagement season in full swing, my gift of choice for this month is none other than an engraved Diptyque candle. Completed in less than 15-minutes at my local Diptyque store, the thoughtfully added touch in an elegant gold-printed type is my favorite way to celebrate newfound love!
Laniya Harris-Pringle, Assistant Fashion Editor
I love a unique, staple swimsuit, and this one I purchased from Andrea Iyamah is just perfect! This is my favorite purchase this month because I just love the design, fabric, fit, and color of the suit. It’s ideal for an island vacation, and I can’t wait to wear it on my birthday vacation out of the country!

Not ashamed to admit I’m a headphones snob—I’ll do earbuds (but not those white ones) in a pinch, but for a true listening experience (that’s right—I talk like this) you need the over-the-ear cans, as they’re called—and I’m now devoted to the new Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2, which is comfortable enough to wear for hours and hours, but—maybe more importantly?—delivers the purest, cleanest, punchiest, and most awe-inducing soundstage in its class, with the kind of active noise-canceling that carves out your own sonic oasis amidst a mad, mad world.

My birthday falls in June, so I take just about every opportunity to treat myself until the clock strikes midnight on June 30. I have been eyeing Brooke Callahan’s glass flower pendants for months and finally snapped up one just in time for my birthday!
